2. Purpose and scope

These Terms and Conditions govern services booked directly with Alpine Line by private individuals.

They are provided to the client before the booking is confirmed. Written acceptance of the proposal and payment of the amount required at the time of booking constitute unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Where a booking is made through an agency, hotel, platform or another partner, the terms communicated by that partner may also apply.

3. Services offered

Alpine Line offers private full-day and half-day ski instruction and accompanied skiing, tailored to the participants’ abilities, objectives and expectations.

Depending on the service selected and the conditions, the day may include:

  • Exploring the ski area;

  • Improving skiing technique;

  • Personalised instruction and support;

  • Off-piste skiing, where participants’ abilities, weather and safety conditions allow.

Each proposal specifies, in particular, the date, location, duration, number of participants and price.

Unless otherwise stated, services are available for one to four people at no additional charge.

The content of the service may be adapted according to participants’ abilities, weather, snow conditions, lift opening and safety requirements.

4. Rates

Prices are quoted in euros, inclusive of all applicable taxes, before booking.

The applicable price is the price stated in the proposal sent to the client or on the pricing page at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated, the price does not include:

  • Lift passes;

  • Equipment hire;

  • Meals and drinks;

  • Transport;

  • Personal insurance;

  • Any expenses incurred for a service organised outside Alpe d’Huez.

Any additional charges are communicated to the client before the booking is confirmed.

5. Booking

An enquiry or availability request does not constitute a confirmed booking.

Confirmation requires:

  1. Written acceptance of the proposal;

  2. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions;

  3. Payment of a deposit representing 30% of the total price.

The booking becomes final once the deposit has been received and Alpine Line has issued written confirmation.

For bookings made less than seven days before the service, the full price is payable upon confirmation.

6. Payment

The balance must be paid no later than seven days before the start of the service.

Accepted payment methods are bank transfer, payment card and cash.

If payment is not received within the required time, Alpine Line may suspend the booking after informing the client.

For bookings made through a partner, payment arrangements are communicated at the time of booking. The partner may collect payment on behalf of Alpine Line.

7. Participants’ obligations

Each participant must:

  • Have suitable equipment in good condition;

  • Wear clothing appropriate for the weather;

  • Hold a valid lift pass where required;

  • Follow the instructor’s directions;

  • Disclose, before the service begins, any physical, medical or technical difficulty that may affect their safety;

  • Have personal insurance covering skiing activities, rescue and repatriation.

The client is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided regarding the number, age and skiing ability of participants.

The instructor may refuse or discontinue the participation of anyone whose equipment, physical condition or behaviour would compromise their own safety or that of the group.

8. Cancellation by the client

More than seven days before the service: cancellation is free of charge and any amounts paid are refunded;

For bookings made through a partner, the client must also notify that partner.

The date and time at which the message is received determine the cancellation notice period.

The following charges are calculated on the total price of the service:

  • More than seven days before the service: cancellation is free of charge and any amounts paid are refunded; cancellation is free of charge and any amounts paid are refunded;

  • Between seven days and forty-eight hours before the service: 50% of the total price remains payable;

  • Less than forty-eight hours before the service: 100% of the total price remains payable;

  • Failure to attend, or lateness preventing the service from taking place: 100% of the total price remains payable.

Where a refund is due, it will be made using the original payment method within a reasonable time.

Requests to change the date may be accepted subject to Alpine Line’s availability. Rescheduling is confirmed only once agreed in writing.

9. Late arrival

The client must arrive at the agreed meeting place and time.

If the client arrives late, the service will end at the originally scheduled time and the full price remains payable.

Where lateness makes the service impossible or prevents it from being conducted safely, it may be treated as a failure to attend.

10. Weather and mountain conditions

Adverse weather does not automatically result in cancellation.

The location, itinerary or content of the day may be adapted to provide an activity appropriate to the conditions and participants’ abilities.

In particular, the instructor may:

  • Change the itinerary;

  • Decide not to proceed with off-piste skiing;

  • Move to another sector;

  • Discontinue the service if they consider that participants’ safety can no longer be ensured.

A change to the programme made for safety reasons does not constitute a failure to provide the service.

If no suitable service can be provided safely, Alpine Line will offer to reschedule where possible. If rescheduling is not possible, amounts paid for the service not provided will be refunded.

11. Cancellation by Alpine Line

Alpine Line may cancel a service in the event of illness, accident, force majeure, exceptional unavailability or conditions that prevent participants’ safety from being ensured.

In such cases, Alpine Line will offer, depending on what is possible:
